THE DODGE CHALLENGER SRT® DEMON HAS A SUPERCHARGED 6.2L HEMI® SRT DEMON V8 ENGINE

The red painted Supercharged 6.2L HEMI® SRT Demon V8 engine has been certified to the SAE J1349 industry standard for its horsepower and torque ratings. The engine also meets all applicable legal emissions regulations.
While the Demon V8 engine shares its architecture with the 707-horsepower Supercharged 6.2L HEMI® Hellcat V8 engine, it is not simply a Hellcat V8 engine with more boost. The Demon V8 engine has 25 major component upgrades from the Hellcat engine, including, pistons, rods, supercharger, valve train and fuel injection system.

The Dodge Challenger SRT® Demon is the first-ever factory production car with a liquid-to-air charge air cooler chiller system.
This exclusive performance feature enables the Challenger SRT Demon to achieve charge air induction temperatures previously unattainable by pressure-charged street-legal production vehicles.
Conventional cooling methods consist of using air or coolant to reduce the air induction temperature as it is passed through the charge air cooler. When in Drag Mode, the air conditioning system of the Challenger SRT® Demon is diverted to chill the engine’s charge air cooling system. Compared to vehicles without a chiller, this feature can reduce the air induction temperature up to 45°F.
