Exploring the Retro Jeep Wrangler Rewind Edition

Nobody walks past this one without stopping, and that’s the entire point. As part of Jeep’s Twelve 4 Twelve campaign, where a new limited-edition vehicle drops on the 12th of every month, the sixth release leans heavily into neon, arcade cabinets, and high school parking lot nostalgia. Named the Rewind, the title does most of the explaining, and the execution backs it up cleanly.

From Moab Dust to Factory Production

What enthusiasts appreciate most is how this trim originated. It didn’t start in a corporate boardroom or a marketing focus group. Instead, it debuted as a one-off custom build at the 2025 Easter Jeep Safari in Moab. 

Real rocks, real dust, and actual trail drivers spent a week crawling over it. The avid crowd response convinced Jeep to push the vehicle into actual production. Dropping as the sixth release puts it right at the halfway mark of the campaign, proving the brand still has plenty left in the tank.

The package extends to the Gladiator truck as well. You get the same open-air utility, throwback graphics, and retro personality on a pickup platform, making the choice between an SUV and a truck bed much easier to justify.

Graphics and Color Palette

Multicolor retro streaks run across the hood, fenders, and doors. The look features gold-accent wheels, matching tow hooks, off-road tires, steel rock rails, and body-color fender flares. 

Wrangler versions add a themed spare tire cover and a custom swing-gate plaque. Exterior color choices allow buyers to dial the nostalgia up or down:

• Reign: The signature purple shade worn by the Moab concept, representing the boldest look.
• Bright White and Anvil: Clean, neutral backdrops that let the graphic stripes handle all the visual weight.
• Granite Crystal, Gloss Black, Hydro Blue, and Joose: Versatile options available across both models.
• Earl: A distinct cool-gray tone available exclusively on the Wrangler.

8-Bit Cabin Details

Inside, the 8-bit arcade theme takes center stage. Heated front seats feature bespoke Nappa leather embossed with geometric patterns straight out of classic video games. 

Deep Plum and Iced Blue accents run across the interior, complemented by a dot-matrix shift knob cap and matching cupholder plaques. Standard all-weather slush mats provide a practical touch inside a cabin that otherwise refuses to take itself too seriously.

Willys Hardware Underneath

Underneath the custom graphics sits the capable Willys trim. This is a styling and content package rather than an engine rework, which works well because the Willys chassis already handles tough trails. Standard mechanical and technology highlights include:

• Locking rear differential and Off-Road+ drive mode
• 7-inch digital driver display cluster
• Heated front seats and heated steering wheel
• Remote start and Keyless Passive Entry
• LED headlamps and fog lamps
• Adaptive cruise control and forward collision warning

Pricing and Value

The Rewind package costs $1,900 over a comparably equipped Willys, excluding destination fees. Considering the bespoke leather, gold trim, custom wheels, and factory graphics, it offers strong value compared to aftermarket customization. Production runs are strictly capped, ensuring these limited drops maintain strong appeal and resale interest.
